So now that, by their own standards, the Council majority has approved an austerity budget that reduces police coverage to risky levels according to the departed Interim Chief it seems appropriate that the Council rescind their unwarranted layoff notices issued in March.
At last night’s special budget study session Council Members and the public learned that the outsourcing scam that Councilmen Jim Righeimer, Stephen Mensinger, Gary Monahan, and Eric Bever have been promoting with bulldozer accuracy would cost the city more than it could save.

Tuesday night my daughter and I attended the Costa Mesa City Council meeting. I have never seen such solidarity over any issue concerning Costa Mesa in the entire time I have lived here. One after another, citizens stood before the City Council and voiced their outrage regarding the outsourcing of city services.
