“Chelsea’s Law is a long awaited answer for victims and their families who had experienced heinous crimes perpetrated by violent sex offenders As a co-author of Chelsea’s Law, I am very pleased to see that the Legislature has come together on a bipartisan effort to pass this very important measure.”
This mail piece landed on door steps in the 4th supervisorial district on Wednesday from the OCEA IE Committee. I’m getting the feeling that the fact that Shawn Nelson tried to hide his advertising for criminal clients doesn’t poll well with voters.
The issue here is not that Nelson’s firm represents people in criminal matters. It’s that he has spent the better part of two years trying to cover that up. Nelson says his clients are accused of “small potatoes” crimes. They’re your neighbors and family members who get in trouble.
