Is Michelle Martinez Buying Positive Blog Coverage?

We’ve spent the past few days reviewing the financial reports of various candidates for office throughout Orange County.  And something on Michelle Martinez, an unopposed candidate for re-election for Santa Ana City Council, jumped out at us.  Michelle paid $385 to Pedroza and Associates for “campaign consulting.”  This is interesting because Pedroza and Associates, run…

Confessions of a Business License Fee Scofflaw

Earlier this week, our friends at the Orange Juice raked me through the coals by painting me as operating a business in Santa Ana without holding a business license.  And, that’s true.  I didn’t have a license for my office in Santa Ana.  It was an office I kept and used sparingly.  I guess I…

Sean Mill in his own words

Sean Mill  has an interesting post on the Orange Juice blog last night calling for a return to civility at Santa Ana city council meetings.  One quick note, Claudio Gallegos was informed prior to the post going up by Art Pedroza, who texted Claudio to give him a “heads-up.” Sean has been on a jihad…

Santa Ana City Council Meeting: My Thoughts

I joined Chris Prevatt at the City Council meeting last night. What a different demeanor the Council had in regards to Public Comments. The Mayor was very lenient on the time frame to turn in speaker cards and this time they took the harsh criticism leveled at them. I spoke briefly on the item to remove Tish Leon, letting them know they were essentially listening to the words of Art Pedroza, a man who promoted sex between men and boys on websites he owned and Sean Mill, a man who has threatened to harm multiple Santa Ana residents(he once threatened to kick me in the teeth in an e-mail and threatened in a text to Phil Bacerra to send gang members to his house).

Victory Against Censorship in Santa Ana

A vicious attempt to censor and silence Santa Ana residents was defeated last night as Art Pedroza was removed as a moderator on the Santa Ana Citizens Yahoogroups. The Yahoogroups owner made it HERE. official It all began earlier this week when I posted a link to my Liberal OC post on El Sol Academy. What followed were personal attacks by Orange Juice bloggers Sean Mill and Art Pedroza, who have been stalking myself and other Liberal OC bloggers for over a year now. You can read their attacks HERE and HERE. I was not allowed to let them go unanswered and moved to defend myself with this comment:

Independence Day Library Event Ruined by One Bigot

For many years, the 4th of July has not had a formal celebration in Santa Ana, and I believe this was a great idea for Mr. Bella to put together. Many of the organizers were set to be honored last night before the City Council, but that was put to a stop after two Councilmembers, Claudia Alvarez and Sal Tinajero threatened to walk out. Some people may say, WHAT!, how unpatriotic is that for those two Councilmembers to walk out of a presentation honoring those who were honoring our country. Well, there is another side of the story…
