Morning News Bits – June 1, 2011

On our radar this morning are a couple stories that may be of interest for you. Debating How to Slice Up Orange County: Norberto Santana, Jr. reports that County officials have begun to take testimony on nearly two-dozen ideas for redrawing supervisorial districts.

They will draw the lines

California’s Applicant Review Panel met today to review the 4,546 completed applications for the Citizens Redistricting Commission (Proposition 11). The field of applicants was narrowed to 622, including 27 Orange Countians, who are listed here. Those who were not selected, and the reasons for their disqualification, are listed here.
