Closing Arguments in the Prop 8 Federal Trial delivered today

“This trial clearly demonstrated Proposition 8’s denial of equal protection under the law,” said Chad Griffin, Board President of the American Foundation for Equal Rights. “No law may violate the U.S. Constitution. Our nation’s Founders established the courts to protect every American’s constitutional rights against discriminatory laws. This case is not about special rights for Kris, Sandy, Paul and Jeff. UPDATE: The US Supreme Court has delayed the transmission of the Prop 8 trial video until Wednesday. The order allows the Supreme Court time to review and rule on the last minute appeal from Prop 8 proponents. There is no delay however in the trail itself.
