Anaheim City Council candidates Jordan Brandman and John Leos have picked up endorsements from the Orange County Labor Federation and Assembly member Jose Solorio. Brandman and Leos are an odd couple in receiving these endorsements.

On Sunday afternoon, a volunteer walking a precinct for the Orange County Labor Federation’s Dignity PAC on behalf of candidate Julio Perez was chased down and pushed to the ground by supporters of Councilwoman Michele Martinez. The volunteer received minor injuries and was forced to stop walking that precinct.

On Thursday, April 26, 12PM, unions representing 150,000 working men and women throughout Orange County are expected to pledge support to SEIU’s United Service Workers West Orange County area janitors in the event of a strike.

The Orange County Labor Federation met on Thursday evening and issued its endorsements for the upcoming Assembly and Congressional Open Primary elections in June 2012.

The Orange County Labor Federation is scheduling interviews for candidates seeking 2012 endorsement for U.S. Congress, Senate and Assembly seats. In order to be considered for endorsement by the Orange County Labor Federation, candidates must attend at least one candidate academy.
