Primary Challenges for Orange County Democrats

In the Fourth District Supervisor contest to fill the unexpired term of recently elected Assemblyman Chris Norby, we have a full field of six candidates, three Republicans, and three Democrats in this technically non-partisan contest. On the Democratic side we have Anaheim City Councilwoman Lorri Galloway, La Habra City Councilwoman Rose Espinoza, and Buena Park Mayor Art Brown. On the Republican side there is Fullerton City Councilman Shawn Nelson, Anaheim City Councilman Harry Sidhu, and Businessman Richard Faher.

I have been reading recently how the Republicans in Orange County have reached the conclusion that Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez, and State Senator Lou Correa are vulnerable to defeat in November. They cite the wave of anti-incumbent feaver that is sweeping through the country. Yeah Right. Dream On!

Sue Perez Drops Out

Hat Tip to Matt Cunningham at Red County for his report that Sue Perez has decided not to challenge State Senator Lou Correa.  The story says Perez may have some baggage that could be damaging in mail pieces against her, but her biggest issue is that she doesn’t live in the district.  Matt seems convinced…
