Costa Mesa Employees Layoff Lawsuit Scheduled for Hearing July 5th

Judge Tam Nomoto Schumann set a hearing for July 5 to consider whether to issue a preliminary injunction to stop the planned layoff of more than 100 workers represented by the Costa Mesa City Employees’ Association. In the lawsuit filed earlier this week the Employees’ Association requested the planned layoffs be stopped becaust they violate both state law and the workers contract.
