Jesse Helms is Dead

Former North Carolina Senator Jesse Helms has died.  He was 86.    Helms was one of the driving forces to the hard right conservative tilt of the Republican Party during the 1980s and 1990s.  I don’t miss him in the Senate, but prayers for his family.
