In this week’s address, the President blasts Republicans in the Senate who are blocking unemployment insurance and small business tax breaks to create jobs — even as they push for permanent, massive tax cuts for the richest Americans. Unemployment Rate Slowed in November

In a hopeful jobs report before the holidays, the nation’s unemployment rate eased to 10% in November from 10.2 % in October, and the number of workers on payrolls was essentially unchanged last month, the Labor Department said today.
