QuachGate: Andy Quach’s Apology to the City

Last night Councilman Andy Quach, who was arrested on August 2 after driving his Mercedes S550 into a power pole and block wall with a .26% blood alcohol level, apologized for his actions. Comparing himself to Former President George W. Bush and Senator Ted Kennedy, he vowed to recover from this storm. Below is the report from…

QuachGate: Van Tran Disrupted Police Investigation

A few minutes ago the OC Register put up a story describing some of how Assemblyman Van Tran, despite repeated and specific warnings, disrupted the DUI investigation of Andy Quach. QuachGate Update: But wait, there’s more!

The Orange County Register’ Deepa Bharath is reporting that the Westminster Police Department has completed it’s investigation of QuatchGate and turned over their report to the District Attorney, who will decide whether to press criminal charges in the case. Why do I have a sneaking suspicion this “case” ain’t going anywhere? It turns out that…

Most good stories have a main component. You pull back one layer, only to find another. Call me crazy, but I think I may have stumbled on to a Bloomin Onion with this whole Andy Quach DUI story. At first glance, the story of Andy Quach falling asleep at the wheel of his Mercedes S550 on Saturday night, mowing…
