The Orange County district attorney’s office will not investigate ongoing reports of records destruction at Anaheim City Hall unless employees contact the DA’s office with evidence. Based upon his standards, if the corruption scandal in the City of Bell happened in Orange County it would not have been investigated.
The Orange County Register reported Monday that the job that Peggi Buff, the former number two in the The Public Administrator/ Public Guardian’s office, was granted at the Orange County Community Resources department was never a posted vacancy at the agency, and there was no recruitment done for the position.

Wednesday, District Attorney Tony Rackauckas and his 2014 challenger former Deputy DA Todd Spitzer conducted dueling press confrernces. The DA, finally breaking his silence over what his problems with Todd Spitzers performance were, and Spitzer countering with his own allegations aginst the DA and his office. I was unable to attend the press conferences, something about the fact I have a full time job and need to do it instead of taking time off to watch these two fight it out in the playground kept me away. Fortunately the OCRegister, OC Weekly, and Voice of OC all had this covered.
