Greg Diamond, Northern Regional Vice President of the Democratic Party of Orange County, has thrown his hat into the ring to challenge Orange County District Attorney Tony Rackauckas. Diamond announced to DPOC central committee members on Monday that he would be running and on Wednesday announced his campaign at the monthly meeting of Los Amigos-OC.
Much has been written about the killing of Kelly Thomas in the two and a half years since his death. We focus today on D. A. Tony Rackauckas, who decided, given the high profile of the case, that it was necessary for him to step back into the courtroom, after a 23 years, and personally prosecute the case.

Based upon his standards, if the corruption scandal in the City of Bell happened in Orange County it would not have been investigated.

Wednesday, District Attorney Tony Rackauckas and his 2014 challenger former Deputy DA Todd Spitzer conducted dueling press confrernces. The DA, finally breaking his silence over what his problems with Todd Spitzers performance were, and Spitzer countering with his own allegations aginst the DA and his office. I was unable to attend the press conferences, something about the fact I have a full time job and need to do it instead of taking time off to watch these two fight it out in the playground kept me away.
