Obama Acceptance Speech Moved Indoors

DNC2012 organizers have decided to implement their weather contingency plan, moving the Thursday night ceremonies from the Bank of America Stadium to the Time Warner Arena. Severe thunderstorms are predicted for the rest of the week and the decision hinged on safety concerns.

To help get the word out about the unprecedented livestream coverage of the 2012 Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, today Obama for America released a new promotional video featuring President Obama and actors Kal Penn and John Cho for “Live From Charlotte,” a web-only convention special that will be hosted by Penn on Thursday, September 6th at 8:00 pm EDT.

I’ll be travelling to Charlotte, NC to cover the Democratic National Convention as credentialed press. While there I’ll be following a few delegates from Orange County’s delegation. On Saturday July 28th, the California Democratic Party Executive Board will meet in Anaheim. One of their tasks will be to select 19 members to the Democratic National Committee for the 2012-2016 term. My friend Dot Deleon is campaigning for one of those seats.
