A tipster tells us that one member of the Santa Ana City Council is likely to challenge Janet Nguyen in 2012 for the First District supervisor’s race. With councilmember Vince Sarmiento being touted as the candidate likely to run for Rep. Jose Solorio’s Assembly seat, we’ve narrowed it down to Mayor Pro Tem Claudia Alvarez, Councilman Sal Tinajero or Councilwoman Michelle Martinez.

Now that this election is over, I would like to take this moment to congratulate a former OC elected who just got elected to the Alameda County Board of Supervisors. Formers SAUSD Board member, Nadia Davis-Lockyer has won her election to the board by a wide margin.
I would like to take this time to congratulate Mayor Miguel Pulido on his outstanding victory. Despite being exposed as a politician ripping off taxpayers, selling your vote to the highest bidder, taking every taxpayer funded perk on the planet and running a huge pay to play scheme by funneling money through a Democratic Party PAC, voters still gave you a mandate to rule the city. As a Santa Ana voter and taxpayer I have some recommendations for your 9th term as Mayor.
So time to conclude some of my elections picks for this year. I will begin with a some other races and go into Santa Ana, which has been quite contentious this go round, with our esteemed blog being right in the middle of the action.
