On Thursday, September 1, Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez (CA-47), founder and co-chair of the Small Business Information Technology Caucus, will lead the dialogue at TechAmerica’s inaugural High-Tech Political Advisory Roundtable. SSA Manager transferred after allegations of workplace campaigning on behalf Ceci Iglesias

Around the end of April and early May, Iglesias and her supporters were actively gathering signatures for her independent campaign for Congress. Those supporters included her sister Sylvia a SSA Manager and an SSA employee at the same office as Sylvia (a close family friend to both Iglesias sisters). One of the places that the SSA employee sought signatures was at work. Our investigation has found at this point ten workers, at the Santa Ana Central Regional Office (CRO) of SSA, who were allegedly approached by this employee to sign Cecilia Iglesias’ nomination petition at the SSA worksite.

Loretta Sanchez Agrees to Debate Van Tran

“I look forward to having a spirited discussion about the important issues facing our community – our local residents deserve nothing less,” said Congresswoman Sanchez. “Orange County families need a leader who isn’t afraid to tackle the tough issues. I’m more than ready to discuss my fight to create good-paying jobs, strengthen the middle class, and revitalize California’s economy.”

Tran ‘missed the boat’ and didn’t vote to help eradicate Slavery and Human Trafficking

“While Van Tran was avoiding votes on an important anti-trafficking bill, Congresswoman Sanchez was introducing tough new legislation to combat child trafficking and exploitation in the U.S. and abroad,” said Jessica Mejia, the campaign manager for the Committee to Re-Elect Loretta Sanchez. “Our opponent can talk about human rights all he wants, but his paltry record on this issue speaks for itself. Rep. Sanchez has spent the last fourteen years supporting legislation to promote human rights, as well as strengthen education, cut taxes for the middle class, and increase lending to small businesses – issues that are particularly important to her Vietnamese constituents.”
