Councilman blows a fuse over blog comment and threatens to F&$K me up

It has been a while since a candidate for Orange County elected office threatened a LiberalOC blogger, four years to be exact. Then it was Tan Nguyen, who was challenging Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez in 2006. Nguyen believed that our founder Mike Lawson had been defacing his campaign signs and told Mike that he has a lot of supporters that are “passionate” and he would “hate to see anyone get hurt.”This weekend however, this experience was kicked up a notch by Santa Ana Councilman Sal Tinajero.

Art Pedroza And The Blog War of HIS Creation

A recent post and e-mail sent out by Orange Juice blogger and former friend Art Pedroza would have you believe that somehow we all have been engaging in some sort of Blog War over the past year. He tries to spin some story to make readers somehow feel sorry for him and his current woes at the same time trying to claim Dan, Chris and myself are the sole villians in this affair. In another demonstration of their flair for distraction from their own mistakes, the Santa Ana City Council is again using the power to remove members of city commissions as a diversion. This time they needed a way do distract from their collective failure to stop Mayor Pro Tem Claudia Alvarez from violating the right of Albert Castillo to address his grievances to his elected officials. The action by Claudia Alvarez has drawn the attention of the Attorney General’s office.
