Anaheim City Council Says No To Charter Amendment Preventing Future Tax Subsidies

Last night the Anaheim City Council chamber was packed with opponents and supporters of the $158 million Bed-Tax giveaway to see if the Council would place the deal on the ballot for voters to accept or reject. City Attorney Christina Talley advised the Council that such a referendum could be legally challenged, if it specifically sought to overturn the agreement that had been executed.

Dalati picks up some more endorsements in Anaheim

Rep. Loretta Sanchez, Assemblyman Jose Solorio, Councilwoman Lorri Galloway, the Orange County Labor Federation, the Democratic Party of Orange County and the Orange County Young Democrats have endorsed Bill Dalati for Anaheim City Council. “I am honored to receive countywide endorsements,” Dalati said. “With such tremendous support, I’m looking forward to winning this race to make Anaheim a better place for everybody.”
