Words vs Deeds

In the continuing effort to read the Flash Report so you don’t have to, Jon Fleischman got some considerable airtime and ink to comment on the flap between the Governor and talk show host Rush Limbaugh; earlier this week, on the Today Show, the Governor said something we liberals have known for a long time.…

On the Economy: Clinton Beats Bush

HT to the OC Register’s Orange Punch blog for the lead. Matt Cunningham and I got into it about Bill Clinton’s shrinking of the government and this article in the Examiner proves my point. Enjoy! Stuff in Bold is my emphasis. Daniel J. Mitchell, The Examiner Mar 15, 2007 3:00 AM (5 days ago) WASHINGTON…

Is the Flash Report Threatening the Terminator?

“Beware the Ides of March, as it appears to be the day that the Governor indicates that he is not a team player… “ – Jon Fleischman, Flash Report, 3/15/2007 Et Tu Fleischman?! I love when Republicans eat their own.  Jon Fleischman’s FlashReport column on the Governor’s approval of moving up the date of the…

R.I.P. Richard Jeni

Comedy isn’t pretty.  Comedian Richard Jeni died last weekend of a self-inflicted gunshot due to mental illness.  For someone so talented and so funny, its a real tragedy.  My wife reminded me of other comedians with other problems from depression to alcoholism, so she wasn’t surprised. Here’s a YouTube clip of Jeni’s last HBO Special,…
