The California Democratic Party’s biennial delegate elections will be held this weekend. The California Democratic Party is convening ADEMs on January 12 and 13, 2013, where 12 people (6 men / 6 women) from each Assembly District will be elected to represent their district for both the 2013 and 2014 State Conventions.

House Democrats Pull Country Back From Fiscal Cliff

Last night the House of Representatives took to the floor to respond to the bi-partisan legislation, overwhelmingly approved by the Senate, to pull the country back from the edge of the fiscal cliff. The 112th Congress, unlike Wile E. Coyote, didn’t look down after House Republicans let the country walk over the edge for almost 24 hours.

Santa Ana Poised to Make a Management Change?

After two hours of discussion in a closed session meeting the Santa Ana City Council took no reportable action related to the performance reviews of City Manager Paul Walters and City Attorney Sonia Carvalho. Apparently, two hours wasn’t enough time, and additional discussions are scheduled for early next year.

At about 1:20 pm Wednesday afternoon the Santa Ana City Clerk released a notice of a special meeting of the Santa Ana City Council, scheduled for 1:15 pm on Thursday, December 27th. The “Special Meeting” has only two closed session items on the agenda; Performance Evaluations for the City Manager and City Attorney.
