The Lou Correa camp sent out a “Republicans for Lou†letter this weekend. The letter is a counter to the Dems for Daucher letter that Andrew and Claudio already blogged about.
And similarly, Lou’s letter is signed by a bunch of Who-dats? of the Republican party: David Shawver, Tran Tu, Al Ethans, George Georgieff, Mark Kusiak, Jess Saenz, and Hoa Truong.
From the letter:
Although we’re all registered Republicans, none of us are voting for “Republican†Lynn Daucher for State Senate.
Lynn Daucher isn’t even from our area. She just moved here from up North and rented a place so she could run for office.
And, frankly, she’s not like us at all.
An interesting P.S. to this letter is about taxes. The writers claim that Lou won’t support any tax increase that doesn’t have voter approval, and he includes a letter that Lynn Daucher wrote and signed when the Mayor of Brea. The letter (a PDF is available HERE) is written by Daucher fighting (successfully, I might add) to keep the vehicle license fee in place.

Thanks for putting this up, Mike! It’s nice to know that Lou also has prominent crossover support. Ultimately, it really comes down to who cares about our local communities in the 34th…
