In case you missed it, I’m grateful to the Voice of OC for publishing this essay of mine while this blog was down. It details an anonymous cowardly campaign with direct mail and unsigned letters from “a deeply concerned neighbor” warning against signing Irvine’s slow growth referendum modeled after the one in Costa Mesa and other cities in Southern California.
In short, Irvine for Respopnsible Growth — a grassroots group of about 20 unpaid volunteers — has scared the crap out of Irvine pro-developer movers and shakers from the OC Business Council to the Irvine Chamber of Commdrce
An organization called VoteNow Action PAC has been behind much of the erroneous direct mail hitting Irvine homes. This group is actually tied to OC DA Tony Rackauckus through his politically connected law firm.
Research into the filings of VoteNow Action PAC done through the FPPC which helped us “follow the money” has revealed links between the deep pocket developers, VoteNow Action PAC and Rackauckus.
We’re publishing the chart above with permission from Irvine for Responsible Growth.
