Kim Bernice Nguyen Clear Fundraising Leader in Latest Reporting Cycle


Garden Grove, Calif. – Kim Bernice Nguyen once again dominated in fundraising for the reporting period from September 25 – October 22.  With the report filed with the Garden Grove City Clerk today, Kim is reporting nearly $15,000 raised in four weeks and raising a total of well over $25,000.

Kim has raised an impressive $27,240 overall and $14,930 in the reporting period, outraising her opponent by a 2 to 1 margin. Kim is also the overall fundraising leader among all City Council candidates for this fundraising cycle. Kim continues to raise money as her message to” bring a fresh new perspective” to the Garden Grove City Council continues to resonate.

Momentum has clearly shifted in Kim’s direction as she has forged a strong coalition of Residents, Local elected leaders, Public Safety organizations, Business, Labor Unions and Women’s advocacy groups to back her campaign. They support Kim because she is the candidate who can be trusted to stand up for east Garden Grove.

“The support I have received from such a diverse coalition has been encouraging,” said Kim. “I am very pleased to know my message is resonating with so many people. I will continue to work hard and spread this message to the voters in these final days of the campaign.”

Kim’s dominating fundraising numbers caps off a fantastic month. In addition to her dominating fundraising numbers, Kim continues to walk the district and meet with the voters. Reception to her message has been met with a positive reaction wherever she goes.

Kim Bernice Nguyen became a Garden Grove resident early in life. At age 10 she entered the Garden Grove Unified School District and eventually graduated from Santiago High School. She went off to college attending UC Santa Cruz, and upon graduating with a B.A. degree in Politics, with an emphasis in Legal Studies, Kim came home to Garden Grove. Most recently, Kim was recognized for her tireless work in creating new voting districts within the city. Her commitment to citizen participation and her unique ability to bring people together played an historical role in bringing about fair and balanced voting district which embodies a legacy which will endure for years in Garden Grove.
