Lou Correa

Santa Ana, CA—Today, the Lou Correa for Congress campaign released a poll memo showing that Correa’s strength in the primary has carried through to the general election. The poll, conducted by Fairbank, Maslin, Maullin, Metz & Associates (FM3), with a sample size of 400, found that Correa leads Bao Nguyen by a two to one margin in Congressional District 46.

The memo reads: “Lou Correa has built upon his strong first place June primary victory, in which he outpolled Nguyen by nearly 30-points, and continues to expand his base of support among the much larger November electorate. With slightly less than a month until Election Day, these survey results clearly demonstrate that Correa is well-positioned to win a decisive victory and be elected to Congress.

“In the head-to-head matchup, 47% vote for Correa for Congress, and more CD-46 voters are currently undecided (30%) than support Nguyen (23%).

Moreover, Correa holds double digit leads with virtually every major demographic group in the 46th Congressional District.

Primary Results “It should be noted that our survey conducted prior to the primary election accurately predicted Correa’s June victory. In that survey, Correa led Nguyen by 29-points, which is the exact margin he led by in the actual primary election, as 44% of voters supported Correa and 15% supported Nguyen.”

Former Senator Correa won sweeping support in the June 7th Primary Election, capturing over 40,880 votes and 43.7% of total votes cast. With a triumphant finish, Correa pulled ahead with three times as many votes as the second place finisher. A
