House Speaker Nancy Pelosi addresses OC Democrats


SANTA ANA, CA — Today, former State Senator Lou Correa received the sought-after backing of House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi in his campaign to represent California’s 46th Congressional District seat.

In announcing her support of former Senator Correa, House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi released the following statement: “I’m pleased to endorse former State Senator Lou Correa for Congress. Lou has developed a long and strong record of problem solving both as a local and state leader. We need his pragmatism, can-do mentality and his coalition building abilities representing the 46th District in Congress.” In the June 7th Primary Election, former Senator Correa was the top vote getter, capturing over 40,880 votes and 43.7% of the total votes cast. Combined, Correa’s votes equal almost three times as much as the second place finisher.

Today’s announcement follows recent endorsements from House Democratic Whip Steny Hoyer, Congressman Raúl M.
