Those Clever Democrats….

Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT)

Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT)

I’m a Hillary guy for the coming presidential elections but make no mistake, any one of our candidates is head and shoulders above any of theirs.

I came across this video on and had to share; a re-imagined “Mr. Sandman” that’s all about Bernie Sanders from a group from Saranac Lake, NY (where the foliage is beautiful right now).

Are too many Republicans for Bernie Sanders in the General Election?
Fox News is accused of going too hard on Hillary Clinton. Why? Because the establishment Republicans want to run against Clinton and not run against Sanders.

Well, if Donald Trump wins on the Republican side any Democratic would beat him since he is anti-free trade and Dems supported that position. Trump’s followers thought would helped but it works against them. Rubio is actually stronger against Hillary but will he win on the Republican side. Instead of trade a Republican has to do national defense which leads to some defense jobs and energy. I would prefer a pushed toward national gas for cars but that takes time If a Republican pushed to rise the interest rates it slows down the economy but stops the rise of housing prices. Volcker did that when Reagan first became president which lead to a recession but got the economy out of the stagflation of the 1970’s. Trump is too much in the Pat Buchanan model of wanting all the old factory jobs back instead of wanting to deal with the technological changed.

Democrats should thank Ronald Trump for entering the primary race; absent Trump, – Jeb Bush would be the front runner, – and given Hillary Clinton’s elect-ability problems, we could be facing 8 more years of the Bush Family Dynasty.
The Republicans control the House & Senate; and with a Bush or Rubio or Kasich presidency the congress will pass the national sovereignty transfer: Trans-Pacific Partnership, TPP.
If the Obama/Republican Leadership pass the TPP in January 2016 then it won’t matter who wins their primary or who is elected president in November 2016.
