The California Republican party is the gift that keeps on giving. Despite being told they are losing their way with women, Latinos, Asians and young people, the Republican Party continues to shoot themselves in the foot with “popular’ buttons on the Anaheim Convention Center floor that belittle Hillary Clinton, women in general and “Liberals” which the Republicans still consider Communist.
A reminder that you bozos live in the very Blue state of California, the firewall in the 2010 elections and the state that turned a nice shade of Navy Blue in the 2012 elections.
Keep working on that brand management Republicans, especially as the Tea Party showed it still carries weight in your party.
And just how are Republicans doing with women voters these days. Great, if you play baseball and you’re hitting .333. But for attracting voters, not so much.
From the story: “Only 14 percent of women said the Republican Party had moved closer to their perspective. More than twice as many women, 33 percent, said the party had drifted further from them. A plurality, 46 percent, saw no change.
The dangers for the GOP of losing women’s support are playing out in the Virginia gubernatorial race, where Democratic nominee Terry McAuliffe has taken the lead over Republican Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli, almost entirely by opening up a lead among female voters.
In the new poll, the results for the GOP are even more ominous among young women. Only 11 percent of women younger than 50 said the party had moved closer to them. In contrast, 29 percent said the GOP had moved further away”
So enjoy wearing those pins Republicans. See you on election day next year.
