Labor Day Message from Robert Reich How workers can get a fair Shake

I found this message at and it’s worth sharing as we reflect on our Monday holiday.

Robert Reich-LaborDayIn this Labor Day message, Robert Reich, the former Secretary of Labor and subject of the upcoming documentary “Inequality for All,” breaks down what it’ll take for workers to get a fair share in this economy — including big, profitable corporations like McDonald’s and Walmart to pony up and finally pay fair wages.

After you watch, as a first step toward making this vision a reality, sign Robert Reich’s petition calling on the CEOs of McDonald’s and Walmart to pay their workers fair wages.

Unemployed flock to job fairs this summer while lawmakers continue to argue “labor shortage”
“The broad unemployment rate for African Americans is 23% and 19.5% for Hispanic Americans.
The U.S. Senate passed S 744, the Border Security, Economic Opportunity, and Immigration Modernization Act, back in June. This bill will add 33 million foriegn workers to our already struggling labor force in the next 10 years. According to the Congressional Budget Office report, it will increase unemployment for people already in this county and reduce wages for American workers.” (Both legal and illegal).
Both Parties and Labor Unions want to drive down the cost of labor to please their corporate bosses, via, “Comprehensive Immigration “Reform”.
