Community Forum Tonight: Understanding the Affordable Care Act

Affordable-Care-ActWhile the House Republicans were busy voting for the 40th time to defund the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) last week, Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez was finalizing plans to educate the residents of her district on the impacts and benefits of the landmark healthcare overhaul. Tonight, Sanchez will host a town hall forum titled “Understanding the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.” The event will be held at the Delhi Center, 505 E. Central Ave. in Santa Ana from 7 to 8 pm.

The forum will include a panel discussion on topics including preventive care coverage, pre-existing conditions coverage, plan comparisons, and financial assistance for coverage.

But wait , there’s more!

If you cannot make the forum tonight in Santa Ana, Congresswoman Sanchez and State Assemblywoman Sharon Quirk-Silva will co-host another forum on Thursday from 7-8 at the Downtown Community Center in Anaheim at 250 E. Center Street (corner of Center and Philadelphia).

Please R.S.V.P. and let them know if you plan to attend by calling 714-621-0301 or by email at ca46rsvp@mail.house.gov.

*Chris, where is your article on other Local Town Hall Meetings….while the Congress is back home?

We can only run with coverage of what we are told about. The two featuring Congresswoman Sanchez is all we received notice of. I heard that Congressman Lowenthal was to be hosting one, but I did not have the details and therefore had nothing to run. While I would love to have the time to chase congressional offices down to find out what they’re doing, I just do not have that kind of time.

If you happen to know of any other events, let us know.

Why do they need town halls. If you have healthcare you will lose it and if you don’t and get it paid for by the government the doctors wont accept it. Pretty simple concept.

The Democrats in Washington has done for healthcare what the Democrats have done for California. Total Failure…………………………..
