Hat-tip to the Save Anaheim blog for this story.
At last nights AUHSD board meeting, trustee Katherine Smith asked that the board “start an independent investigation” into the allegations that Jordan Brandman used AUHSD facilities for his personal use following in impassioned plea that the issue be agendized by Amin David.
The story does not provide any detail as to how Trustee Brandman actually used district resources for personal, business, or political uses. The blog indicates that Brandman has brought his personal laptop into the district offices and used it while in those offices. As far as I can tell, there is no allegation that he used any district resources, other than possibly wifi access to the internet, for personal use.
If wifi access is the only allegation, the allegation seems to be more of a political hit against Brandman who is running for Anaheim City Council. While the trustees agreed to place the matter on the agenda for discussion at their next meeting, there is no investigation at this time.
We’ll have to wait and see what the Trustees do at their next meeting. In the interim, you can read the post here and view the video of the meeting they have posted.
