Santa Ana, CA — With the election exactly one month away, the Orange County Democratic Party is kicking off its “unity campaign” on Saturday, October 2, 2010 with a “unity walk” in the heart of Garden Grove today announced Frank Barbaro, Chairman of the Democratic Party of Orange County.

“We are sending the message out that the Democratic Party is united in its efforts to re-elect and elect our Democratic candidates. The diversity of our party is a great part of our strength because it allows us to focus on the wide spectrum of people who live and work in our communities, instead of just a select few as is the case in the Republican Party. Our issues are the issues of the majority of people in Orange County – lowering the rate of unemployment, reducing taxes on the middle class, protecting our environment and supporting our educational system.”

Barbaro, a native of Garden Grove, will join the precinct walk with 47th Congressional District Representative Loretta Sanchez and 68th Assembly District candidate Phu Nguyen and numerous volunteers. The walk begins at 10 am at Community Center Park, 11222 Acacia Parkway, Garden Grove.
