Victory Against Censorship in Santa Ana

A vicious attempt to censor and silence Santa Ana residents was defeated last night as Art Pedroza was removed as a moderator on the Santa Ana Citizens Yahoogroups. The Yahoogroups owner made it  HERE. official It all began earlier this week when I posted a link to my Liberal OC post on El Sol Academy. What followed were personal attacks by Orange Juice bloggers Sean Mill and Art Pedroza, who have been stalking myself and other Liberal OC bloggers for over a year now. You can read their attacks HERE and HERE. I was not allowed to let them go unanswered and moved to defend myself with this comment:

Art, are you really going to go there about who victimized who? and proudly claimed in an e-mail to “own my ass.” Will you explain now why you did that even though I had nothing to do with the transaction of

YOU are the one who went around town telling people I was an alcoholic.

YOU are the one who went and fed Sean Mill and Paul Lucas my past financial difficulties when I entrusted you as a friend. And you did it only because I did not return to blog for you.

YOU are the one who went and bought

YOU are the one who sent me a text threatening to “destroy” my career. It is available for viewing if anyone wishes to see it.

Suddenly I am the bad guy. You are the scumbag to end all scumbags Art. Yes I did send your info out after you did that to me. People in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones. By the way, good luck on August 3rd in court Art. Wish I could be there, but I will be on a wonderful family vacation. Bet you wish you could afford one right now. TTFN- Tah Tah for Now.

BTW people, his foreclosure auction has been delayed to August 26th, if you are interested in buying a nice home in Park Santiago.

Within moments, my defense was deleted from the Yahoogroups and my privilages were limited to where Art Pedroza had to approve any posts I did. I made several attempts to re post my defense. At one point, another moderator did resorte the post only to have Art delete it again, despite the fact that I broke no terms of service and did not libel Art Pedroza. Thanks to several supportive Santa Ana residents, the owner of the Yahoogroups,  Paul Cook-Giles has now revoked Art’s privilages as a moderator. Thank you Paul, I know you are a busy person and did not need to deal with this drama. Unfortunately, with crazy stalkers like Art Pedroza and Sean Mill, we have to put up with their attempts to silence anyone they disagree with.

With Art Pedroza now running for school board, is this what we can expect if he is elected, silencing and stalking teachers, employees and constituents who may disagree with him. Will he have his “enforcer” Sean Mill going up to dissenters and threaten to “break their f_cking neck” like he did to Matt Cunningham? What happened yesterday was a victory against censorship, and a victory for free speech. It also gave a scary portrayal of the kind of city government envisioned by NAMBLA Promoting Art Pedroza, Sean Mill and their allies on the City Council.

Art is the blogger who, having to choose between writing about Santa Ana and it’s elected officials and keeping his seat on a Commission, chose to continue blogging, all the while railing about how his free speech was being infringed.

The opportunities to highlight this person’s hypocrisy just never stop coming.

Agreed. You guys need to meet Pedroza in the alley behind the Circle K after school and just fight it out or something.

Maybe I’m just not seeing the grand vision here, but it’s not clear what headlining (again and again and again and again …) your various personal and business disputes with Pedroza have to do with advancing the cause of progressivism in Orange County.

Isn’t it strange how Art seems to bring out the best in people? 🙂 I see a pattern here and it’s not very pretty. I suppose it is his own business if he chooses to constantly provoke altercations, but I’m sure it isn’t helpful for his public image.

Here’s a strategic hint for you guys: ignore art and let karma take it’s course. You’ve done everything you can do for now. When his home and family are gone and he’s flat on his ass, he’ll either be defeated and go away on his own or have nothing left to lose and come at you even harder. All you can do at the moment is take a breather and wait for the outcome. Piling it on isn’t going to do anything but make you look vindictive. Please go back to covering liberal politics in O.C. the way you’ve always done so well because taking the high ground will put even more distance between you and that bottom feeder.

Readers, Art running for school board after his history of practicing the politics of personal destruction is newsworthy and the post on publicizing the fact he has lost his moderation rights on a Yahoo news group for practicing censorship is also newsworthy. But to be honest, we spend little time on Art. We are compelled to factcheck the ministry of truth from time to time and just this week, I had to ask Art to retract an erroneous statement he attributed to me. Getting the facts right never seems high in their priority list.

I’d also argue we have had several recent post that do advance the liberal agenda and call out Republicans for bad behavior. But it’s been one of those weeks for everyone where posting has been tough.

Without a doubt, because this is certainly the first documented example on the Internet of petty infighting between members of a group that nobody else has ever heard of!

Hopefully you’ve been printing off these posts onto archival paper and saving them in a cool, dry place so that they can be studied and treasured by future scholars.

    Frank Abagnale Jr. said:

“The money is tougher, if you are having financial difficulties, you might want to consider bankruptcy, so that any judgement against you would be rolled into that”

Don’t ruin your credit Art. How will you be able to borrow money for your kids to go to college if you jack up your credit rating by going BK? You should first exhaust all other options.

    1) Rent out rooms in your home. The going rate for a bedroom is $600-$800/month and with kitchen privlages you can maybe get more. Might sound hard at first, but if it saves your gotta do what you gotta do.

    2) Have Vern do a concert fund raiser for you. Vern is popular and I think you could raise quite a lot of cash quickly. I’ll pledge $100 right now and I bet there are many others who will help.

3)Go to family members and borrow money. Not fun to do but worth it.

    4) Borrow from your 401K.

    5) Hard money loan. If you put out the word you want a loan you will be offered one.

Sell some household items on Ebay. 2nds car, etc. Cancel cable t.v. landline phone, etch.

I bet other readers have more ideas. We are here to help you.

i have an idea, quit cowering to cheminowski and his minions. quit asking people to ask him to drop the lawsuit it only makes you look bad and it makes you look like they got you. grow a pair go into court with your head held high and fight. you have this lamb going to the slaughter mentality and that right there is a dangerous mindset. we all know this case is B.S. but you already have accepted defeat. one thing i know is anything can happen in court and if this was being brought against me i would be pissed. you dont even realize how easily you can hand them their behinds when this is all said and done but whining like a little girl isnt gonna cut it in court. and claudio, thank you so much for bringing free speach to santa ana i’m so happy that we have you here representing us. i just dont know what we would do without you! i see now why they call you “fraudio”

Jose – if we didn’t file the suit, Art would still have the domains and would still be redirecting them to sites designed to tarnish our reputations. Every settlement offer he made required us turning over his domain for free (Sean mill’s too) and pay him a sum of cash. Art can settle on our terms and make this all go away. But he has already admitted to the material facts in the case, he hasn’t produced a single document required on him for discovery and wavers between wanting to be our friend and then telling us to screw ourselves. I realize you think this suit is bogus but I don’t. And comments like yours only steel my resolve to move forward

cheminowski, first of all you dont need pedroza to tarnish your reputations on this blog you guys do that pretty good all by yourselves. and as far as discovery do you think because you want certain things they have to comply? doesnt work that way and if i remember you wanted his hard drive? i think you said something like “i could only imagine whats on there” doesmt matter if he admitted to material facts you also admitted you had his name as a domain name and what the hell were you doing with that? it all boils down to a couple of douchebags acting like children but you crossed a line that should never have been crossed and thats taking this stupid case into the courts as i have said before. i know it’s too late to turn back but what bothers me is the way this was handled. you keep implying that pedroza is a child molester and thats just so wrong and it’s not something that should be joked with. you prevatt and claudio have seriously tarnished this once great blog.

Jose – we never implied Art was a child molester; only that he willingly redirected websites he owned to sites that advocated pederasty and gay porn. Since Art routinely approves comments about how “Matt Cunningham outed sex abuse victim identities,” we’re not guilty of doing anything Art doesn’t already do.

For your comment: “but you crossed a line that should never have been crossed and thats taking this stupid case into the courts”

I know you don’t know most of the facts of this case because most of the facts of this case stil aren’t public. But without the lawsuit, Art would have left the redirects up as evidenced by nearly daily emails he sent in November and December. So please don’t lecture me about crossing lines when its clear you have no idea what you’re talking about or rely on what you read on the OJ blog for your information.

Despite what Art continues to write abotu hwo Demcoratic leaders believe this lawsuit is bogus, we haven’t received a single email or phone call from anyone. I have had one conversation with one elected official about this case and it was to ask what was the latest news.

You are in no position to tell me what to do since you are working from very little information.

“nambla promoter to run for SAUSD” so you guys are saying pedroza is ok with grown men having sex with little boys? he promotes that? please even a guy like myself who is sickened by pedroza doesnt even buy that. you have many times on this very blog suggested he’s a child molester when you know damn well he isnt. the length you guys go to drive that point home is just shameful. i’m sure you’ll put out a mailer to suggest he’s ok with men sleeping with little boys to let people know he’s running for the school board. i would put nothing past you. seriously cheminowski, you have really put your foot in it with this and regardless of what happens you have embarrassed this blog. forget about embarrassing yourself thats a given but to shame this blog that means something to me thats unforgivable. so tell your lies to those who dont know any better. keep going on how you’re trying to “protect” your kids from pedroza. what a sham you are.

Jose — tell it to Art who routinely allows repeated comments about how Matt Cunningham outed sexual abuse victims. The difference between Matt and Art– Matt did it inadvertently, took the site down and apologized for it. Art did link to NAMBLA deliberately, refused to take it down until he was exposed and never apologized for it.

Your voice is one of a very few who feels this way. I have dozens who tell me otherwise.

It’s a shame their patriarch is Captain Ahab. God bless them. I hope they don’t get taken down with the ship.
