Planned Parenthood named one of Orange County’s Most Trusted Brands

ORANGE, CA – Planned Parenthood of Orange and San Bernardino Counties (PPOSBC) was named one of the top 10 most trustworthy brands in Orange County, according to a survey conducted by OC METRO and The Values Institute at DGWB, a think tank.

PPOSBC joined the likes of Disneyland, Trader Joe’s, Chapman University, and In-N-Out Burger in the survey of residents released this month.

“This recognition is a testament to the invaluable health care and education that Planned Parenthood of Orange and San Bernardino Counties provides every day,” said Cecile Richards, president of Planned Parenthood Federation of America. “This acknowledgment of Planned Parenthood in Orange County also echoes what we hear from the millions of patients across the country for whom we provide preventive care, life-saving screenings for cancer and family planning: People trust Planned Parenthood.”

The OC METRO describes the survey as a way to find out “which brands ranked highest in terms of sincerity, consistency, ability, concern, and connection.” The survey’s architect, Chesney Beaver, is quoted as saying Planned Parenthood was an underdog because “it rattles many in Orange County because of its support for abortions.” But on a closer look, Beaver says, ‘Planned Parenthood has such a strong history . . . its providing services that are really desired by the community.'”

The survey also highlighted PPOSBC’s patient confidentiality, with the survey architect stating that “it [PPOSBC] ran away from the competition in the national survey results in all five categories, but one special mark fell under sincerity. Under the scoring prompt for keeping information confidential, only Planned Parenthood finished with a perfect 5.”

“We are honored that the people in Orange County – the women, men, and their families we provide with compassionate quality care – have recognized our work and our commitment to this community,” said Jon Dunn, president and CEO of Planned Parenthood of Orange and San Bernardino Counties. “From breast health care to prenatal service, our community trusts us to be there for everyone.”

The survey was conducted by OC METRO and The Values Institute at DGWB and “is the result of a five-month survey that asked locals to rate approximately 200 local and national brands on a scale of one to five, with specific focus on five measures of trust: sincerity, ability, concern, consistency and connection. Safeguards were implemented to weed out campaigns intended to manipulate results.”

I have often heard that Orange County was a hotbed of right wing extremism. Are the many pro-Planned Parenthood letters to the editor and feedback posts to various OC Register articles concerning Planned Parenthood evidence of this?

Consider the founder of Planned Parenthood, Margaret Sanger. Sanger advocated “race hygiene”, a plan to reduce the populations of Italians, Slavs, Jews and Blacks through sterilization. In her book, “Pivot of Civilization”, she called for the elimination of “human weeds”, for the segregation of \morons, misfits, and maladjusted,\ and for the sterilization of \genetically inferior races.” She was even a guest speaker at a Ku Klux Klan rally in New Jersey in 1926. It seems to me that a racist eugenicist who was allied with the KKK would be defined by some as the epitome of a right wing extremist.

Now consider the Planned Parenthood of today. You will not hear openly racist statements from today’s Planned Parenthood’s leadership. However, Planned Parenthood continues to honor the legacy of Margaret Sanger with its annual “Margaret Sanger Awards.” It has been reported that Planned Parenthood often locates its clinics in neighborhoods where the “inferior” races live. Is it just a coincidence that the majority of the abortions performed by Planned Parenthood are on people of color?

Some say that Planned Parenthood should be supported because they do many other good things at their clinics besides abortion. This is a tacit admission that abortion in not a good thing. It is obvious to me that the evil of abortion overshadows any other “good” thing that is coming out of Planned Parenthood. It should be political suicide for any politician to support Planned Parenthood with our tax dollars.

Another dark secret of PP is their collusion with child abuse. According to several independent investigations, PP performs abortions on under age girls who were made pregnant by their much older “boy friends.” PP does not report these cases to the police. PP allows the molester to continue his abuse while getting rid of the evidence (killing the unborn child). An organization that covers up for child predators does not merit government funds but merits prosecution instead.
