Seiler’s Silence and Hypocrisy

I used to read John Seiler’s work when he wrote for the Register’s editorial pages and would read his blog after he left the paper.  But it’s time to call Seiler to task for selective hypocrisy.

It started months ago with John’s objection to a Red County diary post questioning whether or not Art Pedroza had a job. John felt that while Art’s politics were fair game for criticism, his career was not.  And at the time, I agreed with John on this point. And Chip Hanlon at Red County also agreed, so the diary came down only to appear again on the net in its own page which you can see here.

But as readers of this blog know, Art went after my own business, which has no political connection, by buying a URL based on my common law trademark and demanded I give him (which I own) for free while paying $1,000 for the domain he bought. When I refused, Art routed the site to which advocates legalized sex between men and adolescent boys.  After we exposed Art’s actions, he then routed the site to a blog about bad PR and later a page about aggravted hemorrhoids to imply of course, that I’m an asshole.  What readers probably don’t know is a series of emails sent by Art with almost daily harrasment thatstopped when we sent a cease-and-desist letter, and Art explained to my lawyer that the hemorrhoid re-drect was “educational.”  I wonder if the NAMBLA redirect was educational too?

Art railed against the practice of others going after his profession and his business in this post and this post.

Quoting Art: “Is it just me or is it way overboard for the Red County and Liberal OC bloggers to try to deny me the right to make a living – OUTSIDE of politics?  What they are doing amounts to a witch hunt or a lynching.   Go after me on the issues.  Make fun of me personally if you will.  Put my face on funny pictures.  But don’t try to harass my clients.  That is crossing the line, in my estimate.”

But linking to NAMBLA is perfectly OK and Art boasted of it in emails to us.  We filed a lawsuit in federal court against Art for cybersquatting and trademark/copyright infringement.  Art has retreated to the point that he has surrendered the names back to, but you get the picture here.  Do as I say not as I do is a great way to describe Art’s actions.

And oddly enough, Seiler seems to find NAMBLA as reprehensible as the rest of us.  In this post, Seiler railed against a RedCounty post by Thomas Gordon that’s unflattering to BoS 4th district supervisor candidate Shawn Nelson, a current member of the Fullerton City Council.

Seiler writes: “A couple of paragraphs later, Gordon fake concedes, “Now, I understand that even murderers, drug dealers, cybersquatters and NAMBLA promoters are entitled to legal representation. But we don’t have to like it.”

Gordon mixes up a lot here, trying to tar Shawn with warehouse of smear, especially murderers and the disgusting NAMBLA criminals.”

Guess John missed Gordon’s swipe at Art Pedroza, who is supporting Nelson in the race.  But that’s what doesn’t make sense, because Seiler knew full well what Art did by linking my business name to NAMBLA.  I have sent Seiler several emails telling him what Art did and asking him to denounced Art’s actions against my business as he defended Art’s business from political criticism.  The response from John – “I’m retired.”  And, “I’m folding my blog.”  Not a condemnation of Art’s actions and no reference to it either.

I sent John an email this past weekend after his “Shawn Nelson is John Adams” post, since he’s obviously not retired, and have no response from him to share.

I can only conclude Seiler’s principles lack consistancy and he himself lacks any decency.  But then again, this trait explains perfectly why he pals around with people like Art Pedroza.

In John’s world, Art Pedroza is King Arthur and Shawn Nelson is John Adams.  Just what is he drinking these days?

cheminowski, it seems like you keep trying to justify bringing your little catfight into the courts but theres no way to justify this. it’s obvious i dont care for pedroza much but saying he’s some kind of pedophile isnt sticking. it’s a sorry attemp to smear somebody who has no problem smearing himself but you took this to the courts so i think you should quit trying to convince people your doing the right thing.

I’m not saying Art is a pedophile at all. I am truthfully saying he promoted NAMBLA on websites he used to own. I’m taking it to the courts to protect my rights, the business’s reputation and the reputation of my kids whom I named the business for. We have a very good case backed up bu lots of documented evidence and solid case law behind us.

I would submit none of the parties involved in comparing Nelson to Paine have never read Paine.

Paine’s views on government would be considered socialist or even communist by today’s tea bag group.

Why don’t you ask Ryan Trabuco what I was using for. That’s right, promoting my consulting business.

He had no business selling you that website. I asked to buy it and his response was to sell it to you.

I have proof of all this, but let’s allow the courts to decide. I will be filing a motion to dismiss your stupid lawsuit.

And, after all this is over, my blog will still be more popular than yours. You cannot litigate a solution to that…

      see you in court Art.

Art confuses popular with people rubber-necking freeway blood and gore scene. His “blog” is, of course, the latter.

children children! cheminowski, so what you are saying is pedroza supports nambla and sex with grown men and young boys?

I never said Art supports NAMBLA. I said he promoted an organization that advocates sex between men and adolescent boys on web sites he owned. That is completely accurate. You’ll have to ask Art if he supports the organization.

That is what he is saying, even though MY efforts led to a sweep of Santa Ana’s Santiago Park a couple weeks ago that resulted in the arrest of nine perverts who were involved in lewd conduct.

The guy who sold Dan my web URL linked websites pertaining to Dina and Trung Nguyen to Asian gay porno sites. Chris even wrote about it here at this blog.

All I did was feed these guys their own medicine. And they got a lawyer. How ridiculous.

    • February 24, 2010 at 7:54 am

The point of this post is Seiler’s hypocrisy regarding your actions. Pointing out that I covered a political story in no way excuses your actions. No one ever went after your business. That cannot be said regarding your actions.

You would be better served actually finding a lawyer to represent you rather than trying to defend your indefensible actions in a public forum. Save that effort for your response to the complaint. You’re going to need to save your energy.

It sounds like your fight should be only with Dan and Ryan. I would like to know, why then did you buy Chris Prevatt’s name when he had nothing to do with the transaction? Why did you go buy Dennis DeSnoo’s business name and ransom it for $5,000 when he had nothing to do with the transaction? Why did you go and buy Claudio Gallegos’ name and then brag to “own his ass” when he had nothing to do with the transaction? Why did you go and buy websites to harass Janet Nguyen and her husband and Andrew Do when they had nothing to do with the transaction?

We would like to know, we hope you will answer the questions and not throw out a bunch of answers and attacks that have nothing to do with the questions we asked.

and you should have seen the look on Ceci Inglesia’s face when I told what NAMBLA was and what you did. Good luck getting near her 7 year old.

And you wrote about the Dina Nguyen typo too Art:

Before you scrub the post, here’s what you said:
Apparently Garden Grove Councilwoman Dina Nguyen sent out a mailer touting her campaign for the First Supervisorial District, today, and she misspelled her web site’s URL (see picture above, courtesy of Liberal OC). The unfortunate error looked like this,, but don’t click on that! It is linked to an Asian gay porno site. Ouch! Maybe Dina will now get the Log Cabin Republican vote?

Seriously though, the Trannies really need to hire a proofreader. This sort of thing happens to them very often. Don’t they have a few Caucasians in their ranks, such as Chad Morgan, Tim Whitacre, Garden Grove Councilman Steve Jones, and Paul Lucas? Can’t some of these white guys pitch in and spell check their campaign mailers? Or maybe they are already doing so and THEY can’t spell either? What a joke!

I thought initially that this was a prank of some sort, in terms of the website and link, but upon further review this story gets even stranger. I went over to the WHOIS web database to see who owns the website in question. It belongs to Dina Nguyen’s campaign! Talk about bizarre. They must have screwed up somehow when setting it up. So they screwed up the mailer AND the website URL. Nice.

Well, good luck to Ding Dong Dina on her campaign for “Suppervisor. ” Maybe she’ll win that one as a consolation prize because she certainly won’t be winning the First District race. Talk about No Se Puede…

cheminowski, just admit your embarrassing court case if you even want to call it that is fueled by nothing but hatred but it just makes this blog look really bad and thats the problem i have with it. you know damn well that pedroza doesnt support nambla it was a goof and for some reason (hatred) you decided to take this into the courts. by your way of thinking prevatt hates homeless people doesnt he? get real guys. when this is all over let it be a lesson to you. courts arent the place to fu** around.

You know, Jose, I was talking to a very well respected OC lawyer a couple of weeks ago and he brought up this case. He doesn’t know the participants. I asked him what he thought about it and he felt it had a lot of merit.

By your own admission you’re not a lawyer. You don’t agree with this suit, but at least two lawyers — Dan’s and the one I talked to — do. I think it’s time you got in touch with your *own* hatred and left this one to the attorneys.

howard, i tried commenting but my response was never shown and one of my comments that was actually posted was later taken down. it really sucks that these guys have no backbone and feel the need to not allow anything to be posted that they dont agree with. it looks like they are just like pedroza in many ways.

        • February 26, 2010 at 10:51 am

Sorry we didn’t approve your comment as fast as you wanted.

    • February 26, 2010 at 1:56 pm

I’m curious Jose, by “goof,” do mean a mistake as in Art accidentially redirected traffic to NAMBLA, or do you mean “goof” as in making fun of someone or something. If it’s the former I have some land in Florida I’d love to sell you; if it’s the latter you are one severely disturbed waste of human flesh.

      • jose s.
        February 26, 2010 at 3:37 pm

avery, yes of course it was a goof as in making fun of someone as tasteless as it was it was still a goof. i think we all know that regardless if some of us want to admit it or not. so saying i’m a disturbed waste of human flesh means nothing to me. but if you think for one second that cheminowki is taking pedroza to court to protect his kids and his business then i have some land in daggett i’ll sell you.

Jose — I’m not fu**ing around. And I don’t take filing suit lightly and certainly respect the court enough to make sure my case is soundly based in case law. Resolution on this needs to be legally binding; filing suit will make certain of it.

cheminowski, you are fu**ing around and you have no respect for the courts or you wouldnt be acting like a big baby who got his feelings hurt by another big baby. i understand you’re in this way too far to turn back but i will always be convinced that it’s based on hatred and poor judgement on your part. and like i said before it makes this blog look really bad. please stop trying to justify your blunder.

howard be thy name, first off i dont hate cheminowski i have no reason to i’m simply stating my opinion. and you talked to a respected lawyer a couple of weeks ago and he said it had merit? well golly gee why didnt you say that in the first place?! here we were fighting all this time over this and i had no idea you talked to a “well respected lawyer” in oc and he along with cheminowski’s lawyers think theres a case. thanks a lot man. you should have come forward sooner. famous last words: leave this one to the attorneys. obviously you dont know the law either.

    • February 26, 2010 at 10:54 am

My feelings are not hurt and there’s no hatred involved. You hide behind a pen-name and I don’t, so let’s not play the game of who has a backbone here or not because it’s clearly not you. I am protecting my business name and my rights. And I have to go to the courts to do it.
