Wylie Aitken Backs Galloway for 4th District Supervisor

While Lorri Galloway, Anaheim City Council member and candidate for the OC BoS 4th district, is not likely to release a list of endorsements just yet, a quick review of her website revealed a nugget — a fundraiser for Galloway in March at the Galloway’s home hosted by Wylie and Bette Aitken.  And if Aitken is backing Galloway, can an endorsement from Rep. Loretta Sanchez be all that far behind?

Galloway told us this morning she’s very pleased to receive the support of the Aitken’s in her race for Supervisor and grateful to both of them for hosting a fundraiser on her behalf.

Aitken, described by OC Weekly’s R. Scott Moxley in a 1996 article as a “Democratic Party kingmaker..and queenmaker” for his efforts getting Sanchez elected, likely sees the same thing in Galloway that I do – a fighter who can make things happen.

Aitken attends the Galloway campaign kickoff event last August.

Like Lori alot, just don’t see how she will overcome the carpetbagger label. Unfortunately it fits both her and Harry in this race. She also lost local support when she wanted affordable housing in the resort district but not in the platinum triangle. Local residents won’t quickly forget that one, hope I’m wrong on this one.

It’s no surprise that Wylie would support his Anaheim Hills neighbor in this one.
If the author of this post really thinks that Congresswoman Sanchez (the elder) endorses based on the preferences of the Aitkens, he really doesn’t understand how things work. She certainly respects her longtime Honorary Campaign Chair, but they disagree on a number of things. Aitken was an early supporter of John Edwards in 2008 (sharing similar trial attorney backgrounds), yet Loretta strongly supported Hillary Clinton. The Congresslady is a rather independent thinker.
For future reference, Wylie’s lovely wife spells her name Bette (like Ms. Midler) though it is pronounced like Ms. White and Ms. Davis.

Thanks for the edit Pub; I fixed the spelling of Bette’s name and caught another typo. But you fail to note all those pictures featuring Lorri and Loretta hanging out together. Seems like our independent minded Congressional representative spends much more time with Ms. Galloway than Mr. Daly. I din’t see any recent photos of the two of them together.

“not likely to release a list of endorsements just yet”

I wonder why? Maybe because Daly swept the field! Her list would be just pathetic in comparison, but maybe her BFF Lynn Doucher will be on it!

Seriously Dan, NO ONE wants to endorse a carpetbagger who moved from the 3rd to the 4th, into a structure that wasn’t even zoned for human dwelling, that was provided by one of her most prolific political supporters, who than shuffled her into another of his properties because he lied about what the city told him in regards to zoning. Poor Lorri, she can’t even carpetbag right.

Wow… the trail of corruption Lorri has left behind amazes even me sometimes. Let’s see you dance around this one Dan.

Steve .. “a trail of corruption.” So dramatic and pure supposition on your part. We get it Steve. You don’t like her. But if she’s corrupt, report her to authorities. Any charges from the DA pending? Nope. You are quickly sliding into Paul Lucas territority on credibility Steve. Guilt by association does not make one unethical or corrupt no matter how badly you want it to be. And it seems to me, voters in Anaheim chose Lorri over you. Be mad at them, not her.
