vote button 250x248 Election Today in the 72nd Assembly DistrictIt all comes down to today. The campaigning to replace disgraced former Assemblyman Mike “Open Mike” Duvall has came to an end. At 8 :00 pm tonight the voting does too. Three candidates are facing off in this run-off election;  County Supervisor Chris Norby (Republican), School Teacher John MacMurray (Democrat), and Systems Engineer Jane Rands (Green).

While most to the voting is expected to occur by mail-in ballot, polling places are open. So if you did not vote by mail before today, you can vote in person from 7:00 am till 8:00 pm. If you need to find your polling place, Orange County Registrar of Voters Neal Kelley has this handy online widget to help you out. You can also call the Registrar of Voters at (714) 567-7600. You can find the Registrar of Voters website here http://www.ocvote.com/.

Once a winner is clear he or she will take office immediately.
