Actually, I am not surprised. These are the folks that are uninformed and not willing to find the facts for themselves. It is easier to drink the kool aid.

You're right CJ; I read your comment too quickly. Sorry about that. You'd be surprised at how many of my conservative friends and neighbors simply repeat talking points they hear on Fox and Rush.

With all due respect you missed the point: John and Ken are shock jocks, not credible sources of information.
AND no, I am not "uniformed." The Register is a neo-con rag. I hope others did not misunderstand me as it seems you did, Dan. Have a wonderful holiday.

I would love to put together a group to buy the Irvine World News; and restore its format and coverage from before the Register owned it. There's a strong enough ad base to support good local journalism. I'd also make sure we had pages in Spanish, Korean, and Farsi.

Please; if you're turning to John and Ken for information, you're woefully uninformed. How quickly did these guys break their pledge to stop reading the LA Times after the "gropenator" stories appeared about Arnold in 2003? I don't think they made it to Halloween ...

Dear Dan,
Sounds like you are defending this neo-con rag. If you want the funnies read a comic book. Two shock jocks on KFI can rally thousands to make or kill an issue, why can't 500,000 Democrats put this rag out of business. I would imagine that the OC Register is in the top 25 papers in the country. The print media is dropping like flies. Have you seen the Register's Monday morning edition? Looks like a throw away local coupon paper. Truth be told, if only 5,000 subscribers dropped this paper they would be roadkill. Oh, by the way, congratulations on cancelling your subscription. One down and 499,999 more to go.

There are 500,000 Democrats in OC and their numbers are increasing; the Register's circulation still makes it one of the top 25 papers in the country. There are considerably more Republicans in OC. The paper's circulation is in the low 200K range, meaning its has circulation about 2.5 times that of Libertarian Party registration statewide. Perhaps more Republicans ought to buy it. I will miss reading Luann in the morning. But it would be nice to see "Doonesbury" in the paper.

If there are 500,000 Democrats in Orange County and if most buy and read the Register then I suggest we all cancel our subscriptions at once. The Register would no doubt go out of business and we would be rid of this rag. Hey, let's all cancel on July 4th. What a statement on Independence Day 2009.
