Steele Wins RNC Chairmanship!

225px-michael_steeleIn a stunning move by the GOP’s national leadership, Micheal Steele has been elected to lead the RNC. Perhaps they feel electing Steele will be the only way to counter President Obama’s momentum? After several rounds of voting Steele recieved 91 out of 168 with only 86 votes needed to win the Chairmanship. Although Steele supports limited embryonic stem cell research as well as affirmative action, most of his other political positions are definitely right of center.

On a side note, am I the only one looking forward to an Obama v. Steele boxing match?

More like Steele v Kaine and I suspect that fundraising and congressional seats will be the battleground moreso than ideology or policy
