Shea Trying to Scare Irvine Voters about Housing at the Great Park

It must be close to Halloween; and almost time for Christina Shea to leave more scary voicemails to those who oppose her.

At candidates forum’s, Shea is lying about a possible expansion of the number of homes developed around the Great Park by distorting small changes in the development agreement between the builder and the city.

From the Register:

Shea pointed to an updated development agreement recently approved by the planning commission, which includes a state provision allowing Lennar to increase the residential density by 35 percent if certain affordable housing goals are met. The resulting 4,894 units would still be far less than the more than 9,000 units Shea warned of at the forums.

In 2006, Shea’s ticket put out mailers that suggested Irvine residents would hae their homes seized by the city and bulldozed to make way for development if they voted for the Krom/Agran/Kang ticket.  Of course, that didn’t happen.

Orange Coast Magazine recently published a article with 10 Reasons to Resent Irvine.  Progressive Leadership and high resident approval were a couple of the reasons.  The TeamIrvine ticket has to manufacture fake issues with fear and divisiveness in order to have a shot at winning anything.  Read the article and know that Irvine’s progressive leaders on the KeepIrvineGreat ticket have much to do with how well the city is run today.

At least we know have confirmation now that Larry has taken bribes from Great Park contractors…almost $60k to be exact. I’m sure that will sit well with voters.

Oh Dan it has been 10 years, millions of mismanaged and misspent money.,..and not a goddam thing to show for it. What kills me is you dont care about all the wasted money just so long as an airport wasn’t built. OK so no airport so get the ball rolling I mean rally how long does it take? I cant wait to get my next brochure about how great the park is going to be, a season late as usual and another waste of money. DO SOMETHING WITH THE IT!

It hasn’t been 10 years. Its a massive project and even Shea is talking about slowing things down. The park is going to take years to complete and there’s still all those pollutants left behind my the military that will need to be cleaned up. Millions in wasted money; judge slowly….
