When Ruiz was not promoted to VPI, he quit in disgust, despite his manifest incompetence as an administrator. These days, essentially the same group controls our district, with trustee Tom Fuentes its most powerful member. Fuentes, as much as anyone else, is the reason for our colleges' dicey accreditation situation. When will the public begin to pay attention to what goes on in our community college system?
