Dan, you strike me as the kind of person who likes to hit people below the belt. Give it a break.

after eight years of Republicans hitting below the belt, what goes around comes around. If this were a Dems’ daughter, you guys would be all over it. Politics is a contact sport; wear a cup.

after eight years of Republicans hitting below the belt, what goes around comes around.

I have been hearing that childish — and it is childish — excuse from the left for a few years, now. The Leftosphere seems to be under this collective delusion that the reason they lost to Republicans for so many years is the GOP was mean and nasty, and liberals were the personification of flower child passivity.

“She/he hit me first!” is the excuse little kids give when caught hitting their siblings. That’s when grown-ups are supposed to remind them that that is no excuse, and two wrongs don’t make a right.

If this were a Dems’ daughter, you guys would be all over it.

Besides that being silly excuse for boorish behavior, it isn’t true.

For example, have you seen conservatives braying that Obama is a bad dad because he’s putting his presidential ambitions ahead of being there for his young daughters? Being President is very time consuming, you know.

    No, you haven’t.

Yet, the Left is making that exact argument against Sarah Palin.

Politics is a contact sport; wear a cup.

Yes it is, Dan. But Bristol Palin isn’t running for anything, is she?

What next? Are making fun of Down’s Syndrome kids?

This really is below the belt, Dan.

Maybe you should heed your man Obama: “families are off limit.”

“why is Chelsea Clinton so ugly?”
“Because Janet Reno is her father.”

A joke told by John McCain.

So Matt, were the band-aids with purple hearts on them at the 2004 GOP Convention childish? Like you guuys didn’t go after Teresa Hines Kerry in 2004; or Gore’s son for DWI? Or john Edwards infidelity?

The leaflets in Black Communities telling them to vote on Wednesday; was that childish?

You have teenagers at home and so do I; you know how much work it is. If I were you, I’d worry about about Palin’s membership in a AIP, the large number of earmarks her lobbyists got for her town, and her emminent domain case when she was mayor.

families are off limit.” Go tell that to Ken Starr.

Did anyone else notice that the Texas delegates to the RNC were wearing Confederate gray uniforms? Guess them southern trees bear strange fruit.. it used to be said you could trail the Texas Rangers by all the Mexicans and blacks left swinging from trees in their wake… just a bit of History.

ads he was running against Obama.

Its just a joke! Ha ha ha! Don’t you get John McCain would, because he knows jokes.

Cry me a river Dan. That’s child-level reasoning.

Just how does all that makes a 17-year old girl a target? Is Bristol Palin responsible for that? This post is the lowest I have ever seen this blog sink.

    Jubal,
Let me break it down so it is simple enough even for you:

Hypocrites believe that if a liberal running for vice-president were to have a 17 year old daughter who got pregnant, they would be fair game. But a conservative in the same boat, that is somehow sacred. And I would be reading about such a liberal in blog articles signed by Jubal. You know it and I know it.

Besides, there are plenty of other things against both McCain and Pailin that sink them and they are all over the web. So, please Jubal, don’t come here, like you always do, whining like a Muskie with a Canuck letter in his hand just cause we are picking on your sacred cornyservative pals.

Bristol Palin is 17; there are pictures from another blog that show her with alcohol. She bears some responsibility for her actions, does she not?

You do know who Roger Stone is; he went on TV claiming he was close to securing a videotape of Michelle Obama using the phrase “whitey.” No such tape exisits and Michelle Obama never said it. I don’t recall you admonishing the tactics of the Republicans here.

I get it Matt; Palin is an inspired choice for the conservative set. But as more details of Palin’s record come into play, she’s less and less appealing to voters in general.

This post is a low; so is your accusation that I might make negative references to Down’s Syndrome kids. I have done no such thing.

I don’t blame Bristol for her pregnancy; her boyfriend was an active participant. But we haven’t heard from him; what if he doesn’t want to get married? Then what?
