R. Scott Moxley has posted a masterpiece on Congressman Dana Rohrabacher on the OC Weekly’s Naval Gazing blog. And I’m still wiping tears from laughter as I type this. Click the link to the photo and sned the OC Weekly lots of hits. But the story sounds like that old Ed Wood flick, “Glen or Glenda?”

It seems the Congressman paid — dressed as a woman (think of your aging aunt who’s heavset with a mustache and too much perfume) a visit to RFK assassin Sirhan Sirhan in prison to get some sort of confession out of him.

(Proudly cross-posted at C4O)
Last weekend, I was lucky enough to see the state of the race for myself. I traveled to the heart of Battleground Country. Because Nevada’s 5 electoral votes are up for grabs and two Nevada Republicans may lose their House seats this fall, I wanted to do something to help. That’s why I packed my bags, took some spare change for my favorite slot machines (NOT!), and made sure my family in Henderson had an extra bed for me to crash on.
I went to Vegas, baby, and I’m giving you the full report on what’s happening there!

It’s not the elite Washington media, but the Anchorage Daily News has done a great job collecting video and audio about the facts in the Palin Troopergate case. Palin seems to be starring in an episode of “My Own Worst Enemy.”
HT to Andrew Sullivan on the video.

But the bloom is off the rose for the Alaskan governor at home and the McCain campaign seems to have taken over the executive branch in that state.Â

This is hot off the press from the Todd Gallinger for Council campaign. Todd’;s fundraising
I am very honored and pleased to announce that my candidacy for Irvine City Council has been endorsed by the Orange County Professional Firefighters Association - local 3631. These are the brave men and women who put their lives on the line every day to keep us all safe, and now they are in our corner!
In endorsing Todd Gallinger for Irvine City Council the OCPFA joins leading environmental and labor groups, including:
The Sierra Club
The League of Conservation Voters
The Orange County Central Labor Council
and SEIU-UHW
These groups understand what my campaign is really about, keeping Irvine’s residents safe, protecting and preserving the environment, and keeping Irvine great for working families.

What can you say about a man who ran ads about winning the debate hours before it happened? The GOP presidential candidate took full credit for building a bailout coalition that he didn’t do, only to watch the vote fail and Wall Street further implode. I guess McCain doesn’t know much about leadership here either.
I love it when there’s video so we can’t quibble over what was meant or not meant. This “I’m suspending my campaign to deal with the crisis” was a massive fail on the part of McCain.Â
MSNBC’s Chris Matthews said: “McCain said he was going to lead the Republican charge, he was going to make sure that this was a bipartisan success. He called charge, and the Republican retreated. That’s what happened here.”
I sure hope McCain has fun playing checkers with Bob Dole after the election.
