Loretta Sanchez is NOT Dodging Obama

Martin Wisckol over at Total Buzz wrote today about Loretta Sanchez having not formally endorsed Senator Obama. Martin is correct, Congresswoman Sanchez has not formally endorsed Obama. In fact, a lot of Superdelegates who endorsed Hillary Clinton have yet to change their endorsements. Many will wait until the convention to do so. Martin suggested that comments from Sanchez made to the Register in June that she did not know anything about the Senator indicate a lock of support for the Party’s presumptive nominee. I think Martin is mistaken to use a June interview to gage Loretta’s position.

The fact that Sanchez has not yet endorsed Senator Obama is not an indication that she will not ultimitely do so. The 47th Congressional District primary voters did support Senator Clinton by a wide margin.

Since pictures paint a thousand words, let these pictures from the recent fundraising event for Senator Obama in Orange County tell the story.

Congresswoman Sanchez and Senator Obama seem to know each other just fine.

  1. Chris,

I’m not trying to hijack this thread, but noticed ranking is up to #3. Congrats on coming back after the techie problems. I also just visited OJ and they list themselves as #3 by the same service. Not a big deal, just…asking whats up?

  2. At the annual June 14th Flag Day event in Garden Grove hosted by the 67th AD, Loretta unequivocally said she supported Obama, whom she said would be the next president.
