Goes to show that the profits are going to the few but the price will be paid by the many. Every time I heart about supporting the troops and about what is important about the military I think, why are we putting these people in danger? Why? So just a few can profit? So we can have four dollars a gallon gas?

I saw the bumper sticker that breaks my heart every time today, "Piss of a liberal, thank a soldier". I thank our soldiers at every chance I can get because this Country has asked far too much from them. It's just too much.

What also bothers me about KBR employing personal trainers etc .. is that there doesn't seem to be a shortage of Americans willing to fill the jobs offered. Don't get a wrong, I need a job too, but I'll be damned if I'd work for a company such as KBR. Maybe I haven't been poor long enough or just maybe I have a dash of integrity & have a working conscience ?

Great story, Jose!

In addition to being the most wasteful and pointless, this has got to be the *oddest* war we've ever fought.

i was in big bear a few weeks ago and i met a woman who is going to iraq next month. i asked her what she was going to do there and she said she was going to be working for KBR as a personal trainer. i asked her who she was going to be training and she said she was going to be on a base where soldiers and contractors could use her services. personally i believed her. she claims her father has worked for KBR for 4 years and he got her the job. she was very giddy that she was going to be making 1800 bucks a week. nothing suprises me anymore about this war and how many people are cashing in on the blood of our dead soldiers. and how a company like KBR rakes in so much money and somehow it's still not enough. so yes, it's sad that here we are 5 years later and were still dealing with the same corruption. makes me wonder what other kinds of "jobs" they are trying to fill while they still can.
