Edwards speaks to 1,100 at DPOC Truman Dinner

October 20, 2007
By

On Friday night, after receiving the endorsement earlier in the day from SEIU-California, former North Carolina Senator and Democratic Presidential Candidate John Edwards spoke to a sell out crowd of more than 1,100 people at the 13th Annual Democratic Party of Orange County Harry S Truman Awards Dinner.  This year’s dinner was the largest fundraising dinner ever hosted by the Democratic Party of Orange County and ranks in attendance equal to, or greater than, the OC GOP’s Annual Flag Day Dinner.

Senator Edwards was joined at the dinner by his wife, Elizabeth Edwards who took the opportunity to introduce her husband after being introduced via video by Democratic Foundation President Wylie Aitken.

The Orange County Register had a story HERE on Saturday along with a few photos. The Liberal OC Blog team, Mike, Andrew, Susan, Gila, Ed, Tim, and myself were present at the this historic event and I suspect they will have some photos for us to post later.  Dan Chmielewski, hosted a table for team even though he could not be there himself. Thanks Dan!!!

Here is the complete video of Elizabeth and John Edwards appearance at the 13th Annual Truman Awards Dinner. We are working on improving the quality a bit, but I wanted to get this up as soon as possible.

A truly memorable event. Great job to Melahat and the Truman Committee!

I was there also. Had a great time. Met a few other Dems from Ladera.
