Anon 1:30-

OMG the world is going to end

If the GOP has its way on this, you'll be spot on.

RHackett-

Hmmm, you may really have a point there. Al Gore has been right on climate change all along. He has been right on Iraq all along. He has been right on civil liberties all along. He has been right about our financial future all along. Is that why the GOP is so afraid of him? Are they afraid that the American people have finally realized that Al Gore has been right all along?

No wonder why they're so afraid of him announcing a (re)election campaign for the Presidency. ;-)

This was posted by OC Dem over on the Orange Punch blog featuring Flat Earth society's very own Mark Landsbaum.

The worst thing about Gore, from the conservative point of view, is that he keeps being right. In 1992, George H. W. Bush mocked him as the “ozone man,” but three years later the scientists who discovered the threat to the ozone layer won the Nobel Prize in Chemistry. In 2002 he warned that if we invaded Iraq, “the resulting chaos could easily pose a far greater danger to the United States than we presently face from Saddam.” And so it has proved.

Why do we have to wait for “historians who probably aren’t even born yet” to write about how correct President Bush was to go into Iraq but Al Gore is an instant retard for looking towards the future where global warming is concerned?

It is no surprise the right wing noise machine is in overdrive trying to discredit him again.

It really sums up the current crop of conservatives.
