Harald Martin: Kiss the fool goodbye!

Harald G. MartinI’m not sure ;), but I think Harald Martin should begin packing.  It looks like the effort to gather enough signatures to remove this fool from the Anaheim Union High School District Board has succeded.

H/T to Claudio over at Orange Juice who has the story:

Signatures Turned In!

The effort to overturn the appointment of Harald Martin reached a milestone today with the completion of the signature gathering. I arrived to speak with Amin David briefly on the final numbers and to discuss what comes next. The final count collected was 4,963 Signatures, more than double the number required to overturn the appointment and force a special election.

Tonight the petitions will be forwarded to the Registrar of Voters to begin verification that the signatures are valid. After the verification process is over, which should take a week, the Superintendent of Education Bill Habermehl will be notified. At that point he will contact the AUHSD and inform them that the appointment of Harald Martin is null and void, at which point he is removed from the board. They will then get the order to schedule a special election. At the next regular board meeting, which will be in early September, they must schedule a special election within 130 days

This is a great victory for the community and for the kids. We need to finish the job and make sure Jordan Brandman is elected. He is the most deserving and most qualified, and to my knowledge would be the first Dem elected to the AUHSD board since Benny Hernandez. There is no doubt that Harald Martin will run so it is time to consolidate around Jordan.
