Operation Light Exchange will be at the Wal-Mart in Santa Ana (McFadden and Harbor) this weekend to exchange inefficient halogen and incandescent light fixtures for new, Energy Star labeled lamps for free.
Bring in your old Halogen Torchiere Floor Lamps, Incandescent Table Lamps, and Incandescent Desk Lamps and they’ll give you a newer, more energy efficient lamp. To see if your lamps qualify click here.
All you need to bring is your old lamp (without the shade) and your California Drivers License showing a residential zip code in So Cal Edison’s Service territory or your SCE bill.

These events are usually held outside in the parking lot in tents…so you might be able to avoid stepping into a Wal-Mart.
