Grocery Workers Contract Negotiated!

July 17, 2007
By

workers_skip.jpgToday the Southern California’s grocery workers agreed to a tentative contract with the management of Ralphs, Vons and Albertsons.  I’m told that this is a fair contract and the grocery workers feel that they have obtained their primary goals of wage increases for everyone and protecting health coverage.

You all remember the grocery strike three years ago where grocery workers were strong-armed into accepting an unfair contract.  It’s good to see that today they were able to negotiate a fair contract on terms that benefit the hard-working grocery workers.

I’m told the specifics of the contract will be available for us to see soon.
