Peggy Lowe over at the Total Buzz Blog linked to the Log Cabin Republican’s analysis of California’s gayest cities. Peggy went on to break it up to show the top 10 gayest cities in Orange County:

According to the index, a score of 100 is the national norm and a number above 100 indicates that the local proportion of same-sex households is higher than the national average. So, for comparison, the highest index was reported in West Hollywood (738). To see the entire index, go here. Here’s Orange County’s rankings:

1.) Laguna Beach (478)
2.) Aliso Veijo (181)
3.) Laguna Niguel (142)
4.) Santa Ana (140)
5.) Dana Point (131)
6.) Costa Mesa (123)
7.) San Juan Capistrano (120)
8.) Orange (119)
9.) Westminster (115)
10.) Anaheim (110)

Everyone always knew that Laguna Beach was a pretty gay—it’s an 80-year-old, very attractive city that loves theater and has never married. But I was a little surprised to see Westminster come in at number 9. Maybe there is more to this picture than I had originally thought:
