DeYoung in the 73rd?

More and more people are talking about Cassie DeYoung making a run for the 73rd State Assembly District seat next year. Matt Cunningham at the OC Blog just wrote a ditty about the rumors.

Personally, I’d love to see DeYoung run. Her last campaign was so fun for us liberals to watch: 2 south-county conservatives spending millions (with an “M”) for a seat on the Board of Supervisors. This was also the campaign where DeYoung was taken to court over a photoshoped campaign mailer.

I’d love to see a repeat of DeYoung’s last campaign. And since Republican Diane Harkey is the only person to show interest in AD73, it could quite possible be a repeat.

    Mike:

It was the other way around: Bates took DeYoung to court over a DeYoung mailer.

I live in South Orange County, and if I have to recieve another 10,000 pieces of mail from DeYoung I will lose my mind!

I mean she sent some real doozies! I think one was like a 5 pager of her and Supervisor Wilson. It looked like they were a married couple taking a romantic walk through nature… it was real cheesy.

Oh! She also tried to hijack a HS Young Dem Club phone bank that was taking place next door to her house near election day!

Actually, now that I think about it… DeYoung is a fun candidate!!!!

    Jubal,

It seems like forever ago. Thanks for reminding me. Correction made.

Anything to derail the $$$Harkey$$$ machine. Even a $$$DeYoung$$$ run would be better. At least Cassie understands what she is talking about when it comes to issues. I personally don’t agree with her on much, but at least she takes the time to do some research.
